Storytellers Night: A New Place To Call Home

Stories from immigrant women who have overcome life's greatest obstacles.

The next Storytellers Night is a special collaboration with visual artist, Madhu Kumar.

Madhu Kumar was born and raised in India where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees. She moved to Canada in 2001 and lived in Toronto and Ottawa before moving to Regina in 2011.

Madhu pursued her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Regina with Great Distinction in 2017. Her oil portraits and paintings of horses and landscapes have been in juried exhibitions in Ottawa and Regina.

Her works are in private collections in India, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, The United States of America and Canada.

As an immigrant woman herself, Madhu was inspired by her connection to other immigrant women and wanted to share their stories through a series of oil portraits.

Madhu will be featured as a special interview guest alongside two other women who will be sharing their stories for Storytellers Night: A New Place To Call Home.
